The Department of Mathematics organized an industrial visit to the Indian Meteorological Department in Thiruvananthapuram on 4-10-2024.
The department undertakes meteorological observations and provides current and forecast meteorological information. During the visit, they explained how rainfall and wind are calculated. Our students gained knowledge through practical experience, and they also learned about job opportunities for mathematics students in the meteorological department.
The visit included sightseeing at places like Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Veli, and Lulu Mall.
