A Joyous Christmas Celebration 2K25

The institution joyfully celebrated Christmas Day with great enthusiasm and reverence through a well-organized programme that reflected the true spirit of the season—love, peace, sharing, and unity.

The Christmas celebration commenced with a solemn Prayer Song by the College Choir, invoking God’s blessings and setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the event. This was followed by a warm Welcome Address delivered by Rashika, who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries, faculty members and students.

The auspicious Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries symbolized the triumph of light over darkness and marked the formal inauguration of the programme. Subsequently, the Inaugural Address was delivered by the Principal Rev. Dr. Angelo Joseph SDB, who highlighted the significance of Christmas as a festival of hope, compassion, and selfless service, inspiring the gathering with his insightful message. Adding colour and creativity to the programme, the Tableau presented by the students beautifully depicted the essence of Christmas, conveying its message through expressive visuals and performance. A meaningful Christmas Message by Secretary and Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Thomas Poovathummoottil, who emphasized the importance of faith, love, and goodwill in everyday life. The festive spirit was further elevated by a lively Santa Claus Dance, which brought cheer and joy to the audience. The Presidential Address was delivered by Very Rev. Fr. Jose Muttathupadam ( Manager & Vicar General, Diocese of Thuckalay), the Chief Guest, who insisted on purity and encouraged everyone to uphold the values of unity and service. The programme continued with an engaging Dance performance, followed by a Carol Song, both of which showcased the talents of the students and added vibrancy to the celebration. The Prize Distribution ceremony recognized and appreciated the achievements and contributions of students, motivating them to excel further.

The formal programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Solomon, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the celebration.

Following the event, a Staff Christmas Day Celebration was held in the Conference Hall. The programme began with a reverent prayer, led by Rev Fr Ajin Jose (Assistant Correspondent and Campus Minister), creating a reflective and joyful atmosphere. This was followed by a Song, which added warmth and festivity to the gathering.

A thoughtful Skit was presented, conveying a meaningful Christmas message with creativity and humour. The celebration continued with a Christmas Message by Rev Fr Thomas Poovathummoottil, (Secretary and Correspondent)which encouraged togetherness, gratitude, and the spirit of sharing among the staff members. The programme concluded with a Dance Performance, bringing the celebration to a joyful close.

Both programmes were conducted successfully and meaningfully, fostering a sense of unity, joy, and spiritual reflection among students and staff alike. The Christmas celebrations served as a reminder of the core values of love, peace, and goodwill, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. I wholeheartedly thank all the committee convenors, Heads of the Departments, staff members and non-teaching staff for their full involvement in the program. My special gratitude to the Secretary and Correspondent, Principal, Assistant Correspondent and Vice Principal for rendering their support and guidance to make today's event successful. Thank you.
