Remembering,Recalling, Reinterpreting-The Dynamics of mind, memory and meaning

The Department of English conducted a National conference titled Remembering,Recalling, Reinterpreting-The Dynamics of mind, memory and meaning on 21.2.2025 at Multimedia Hall. The conference focussed on the Dynamics of mind,memory and meaning in Language and Literature and aimed to provide a platform for experts to share their knowledge and experiences. Around 60 students from various colleges and the students of the Dept.of English in st.Alphonsa college participated in the conference.Rev Dr.Michael Aro SDB Principal delivered the inaugural address. Dr.V.S.Bindhu,Head of the Dept had explained the objectives of the conference.Ms.V.V.Sibitha Asst.Prof and the Publication Chair presented a report on the publication. The National conference witnessed the official release of ISBN proceedings and the first copy of the proceedings was released by Principal Rev.Dr.Michael Aro and handed over to the Resource Persons.The event brought together faculty, students,research scholars of various colleges to engage in discussions and paper presentations with renowned resource persons Dr.Savitha,Associate Professor and Head,Sree Ayyappa College Nagercoil,Dr.Divya,Assistant Professor,Sree Kerala Varma College Thrissur and Mr. PrasanthArockiasamy, Assistant Professor,St.Joseph College,Tiruchirapally. Valedictory Address was given by Campus Minister Fr.AjinJose.After the distribution of certificates,concluding remark on conference was given by Dr. Savitha the resource person.The conference concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms.Jalaja Mary,Asst Professor,Dept of English.A special note of acknowledgement was given to the students who put tireless efforts for the success of conference.
