The Electoral Literacy Club of our college conducted an awareness Program for the third year undergraduate students on the topic “Importance of Voting”. The programme was conducted on 25th October 2023 at Multimedia Hall.
The programme began with a prayer song. The Principal, Rev.Dr. Michael Aro SDB inaugurated the programme and spoke about the significance of the programme. Vice Principal Dr.R.Sivanesan gave the Presidential Address in which he emphasized on the point of selecting a good leader. Campus Minister Fr.Ajin Jose felicitated the gathering. The Chief guest Dr.R.Pranesh Kumar, Head of the Department of English delivered a brief talk about ‘Importance of Voting’, ‘Power of One Vote’ and the ‘Selection of the right Candidate’. All the participants benefited from his talk. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks and was followed by the national anthem.
After the programme, a drawing competition was conducted on the topic ‘My Vote, My Right’. Around 30 Students participated in this event. At the end of this event, the winners were honoured.
